Electronic Data Systems – Auburn Hills, MI

Infrastructure Analyst (Nov. 2004 – Dec. 2008)

As a member of the Wintel team in support of American Airlines, was responsible for integration, deployment and management of HP and Dell servers with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 and VMware.  Was responsible for the daily management of a 40 VM Citrix server farm that used Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 to host several applications for the Maintenance & Engineering Dept. for American Airlines.  This included extensive use of VMware Virtual Center in daily management of the VM’s.  Double-Take software was also used in file replication/backup across the WAN to multiple maintenance facilities across North America.

Deployed patch management, including firmware, driver and agent updates on approximately 200 servers.  Responsibilities included: break/fix and warranty management, server, rack and data center documentation, on-call rotation.  Conducted survey of all servers to verify proper functioning of necessary agents, including Opsware Asset Management (AMS), and Veritas NetBackup, and performed test backups and restores. Systems Administrator Associate (Aug. 2001 – March 2002)

In support of Dow Chemical, monitored, operated, and maintained hardware and software in a Windows NT environment, assisting clients with file recovery and loss prevention. Performed administration tasks in this environment, including tape backup utilizing Veritas Backup Exec and NTBackup, in addition to the daily report generation for off site tape rotation.
